Hello...

I’m Michelle, a Mum to twin girls, Ava and Amelia.  I have a passion for all things in the kitchen and spend a lot of time cooking with my girls.  After 18 years in a corporate role, I decided to make a change and combine my two biggest passions …. Children and cooking! 

MiniChefs Club was formed in 2015 as an after-school cooking club for up to 6 children from 5 years old. Based in Essex many children came along to cook, bake and learn about where food came from and to understand the importance of becoming sugar-smart. The after-school club runs every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and we cook either a dinner or dessert each week for the MiniChefs to take home and share with their family. 

 

Unfortunately, once COVID-19 hit the kitchen had to close and I was unable to run sessions after school or at weekends. In order to continue teaching children I decided to start a ‘make it box’. Essentially this was everything the MiniChef would have had the opportunity to create in the kitchen but delivered to their door with all the instructions. This has been so well received, that I decided to launch MiniChefs Club Make It Boxes so many children could have the opportunity to learn the valuable life skills of cooking and baking.
